Random Thoughts of a Tangled Mind- Another Book Update Plus a Surprise

by Alyssa Ast

Well, I'm sorry to report the Random Thoughts of a Tangled Mind book is on hold once again. My schedule is completely full, and I have no time to work on it at all. I really want it finished, but right now my schedule just doesn't permit it. The book is sitting in the exact same spot as it has been since the last time I updated you all.

I know many of you have been waiting for my book to release, and I hate to disappoint you all, so here's a small exert from the book:

Who we are and what we are meant to do with our lives is instilled within us from birth. However, as we develop, we lose the childhood ability to know who we truly are. Why we lose ourselves as we grow is unknown, but I believe it has to do with our surroundings and influences in life. As we try to adapt to our surroundings and try to conform to what life and our peers expect us to be, we begin to lose tiny pieces of our true selves until we become unrecognizable to even ourselves.

During adolescents, the niaveness of our mind’s allow us to believe we know who we are, but this isn’t so. Life is about letting go of who and what we believe ourselves to be and getting to know the real us. Discovering who we truly are in life is a bumpy road full of twists and turns. Often, we don’t realize who we truly are and what we’re meant to be in life because we don’t pause to self reflect.

Through self reflection, you can truly discover the real you. You can learn who you were born to be and your purpose in life. The answer about what your life means isn’t unknown, the answer lies within yourself. The ability to stop and recognize the answer can only be unlocked by discovering who you truly are through experiencing life and learning from your mistakes, while letting go of your past.
